On the 29th of March, the third National Reputation Conference will take place in Amsterdam. Leaders from a broad range of sectors, such as finance, healthcare, education and energy will take part in a dialogue on how their companies can make a shift from shareholder value to the so-called stakeholder value.
Wim Leereveld, founder of the Access to Medicine Foundation, is invited as a keynote speaker to share his story and experience in the stakeholder dialogue in the pharmaceutical industry. The conference is an initiative of ‘Nieuw Bestuur’ and is organised by Mildred Hofkes, an author and a well-known researcher in reputation management.
‘Leaders often tell good-looking stories to the public and hope that their internal organisation will follow. But this rarely happens without serious policy’, says Mildred Hofkes. For the theme of the 2012 conference she was inspired by Margaret Chan’s - Director General of the WHO -, statement about the ATM Index ‘What gets measured, gets done.’
Wim will discuss the influence of measuring pharmaceutical companies on their access to medicine policies and practices. And he is asked to stimulate the dialogue among the conference participants, about what they can do in their own sector.
